Jagdeep 'Soorma Bhopali' Demise: Naved Jafri Pens An Emotional Note Remembering Father; Shares Family Was With Him When He Breathed Last
Jaaved Jaaferi- Naved Jafri’s father and legendary actor and comedian Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed Jafri, popularly known as Jagdeep 'Soorma Bhopali', passed away on July 8, 2020 at the age of 81. The actor was best known for his comedy roles in the Indian film industry. He featured in more than 400 films during his career and was a part of many cult films like Sholay and Andaz Apna Apna. Today, Naved Jafri took to his Twitter handle to pay a tribute to his late father.

Naved Jaferi penned that it was the first time that he saw somebody taking his last breath. He informed fans that all the family members were near Soorma Bhopali when he passed away. Naved recalled the teachings that his father taught him while he was alive, that is, to live life with respect. The actor wrote, "I have never seen anyone breathe his last,dad was the first,the whole family was with him when he passed away. Jeete jeete izzat se jeena sikha gaye,jaate jaate jaane ka tarika bhi.Humility &humanity was all that he imbedded in our hearts.God is the greatest.miss u #JagdeepSahab."

Actor Jagdeep's funeral was held on July 9 and it was attended by his sons Jaaved Jaaferi and Naved Jaferi along with their family members. Comedian Johny Lever too became a part of actor Jagdeep's final journey. Stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Manoj Bajpayee, Hansal Mehta, Genelia Dsouza and many others had taken to their respective social media accounts to mourn his death.
